MJ's Nursery Update
Following our wedding, Myles & I recently moved into a beautiful home - PRAISE GOD! Unfortunately, I did not anticipate the stress of furnishing a home and all of the logistics (and MONEY) that comes with it! SO I prioritized our bedroom and MJ’s Nursery.
Early on I knew I wanted a Giraffe theme for his nursery. The animal is very common amongst baby clothes and items, but for some reason the Giraffe stood out to me. I looked up what the animal symbolized and what stood out to me the most was how Giraffe’s represented confidence, peacefulness and a new perspective. This resonated with me so much because during my most stressful moments throughout these past few months, when I would look at my stomach or feel his little kicks inside of me, it often provided me with a new, fresh perspective and the peace I needed.
So with that being said, I told my family & friends about the theme, and they helped me bring it to life! Still not done decorating his room but I wanted to share a mini update.
ACCENT WALL: Geographic Yellow from Lowe’s (Daddy & Godmommy did a GREAT job with the wall! I was just there for moral support :) )
FURNITURE:
Delta Children Skylar 4-in-1 Convertible Crib, Greenguard Gold Certified $179: Super affordable crib, very simple and sturdy. Easy to assemble!
Delta Children Emerson 3-Drawer Dresser/Changer Combo - Dark Chocolate $219: Same sentiments as the crib!
DaVinci Olive Upholstered Swivel Glider with Bonus Ottoman in Dark Grey, Greenguard Gold Certified: Ordered it in CREAM! Not sure if it’s available in this color anymore. Link is on my Amazon page.
Here’s a mini video clip from my Pinterest page: https://pin.it/76lnGrF
Still want to do so much more (rug, custom name sign, etc.) but these items are a great start! Let me know what you think!
